Si PDA (NMOS) Operating Electronics
The silicon photodiode array is based the n-channel MOSFET, or NMOS, technology, where a preamplifier, front-end electronics (FEE) with an Analog-to-Digital Converter and an interface board are required. tec5USA has several interfacing solutions. For more information, please see the Interfaces page
The signals on a PDA are generally weak, so amplification is necessary. Integrating a preamplifier circuit close to the sensor amplifies the signal without amplifying the noise that can be introduced later by circuit boards and other external sources. The front-end electronics provide the analog-to-digital conversion so that the the interface board can send a signal to the computer for analysis. We also provide software to convert the signals into user-friendly spectra.

For the Zeiss MMS and Zeiss MCS (187.5kHz clock), a multichannel solution is available. Our MUX board is capable of combining up to 8 channels into a single FEE and interface board.
